Merantau Warrior's Iko Uwais in London

Well, Tony Jaa has gone. He shaved his head and rode an elephant away into forest somewhere in Thailand.  next?

Here comes Iko Uwais from Indonesia, quit possibly the next world action megastar. a truck driver turned action hero. heh?

Indeed, the Welsh-born director Gareth Evans found an actor in a truck driver. But  His debut Merantau Warrior which was featured in Puchon International Fantastic Film Festival in South Korea and Fantastic Fest in Austin, Texas, got so many high positive reviews and he also won the Best Film award at ActionFest 2010!

Iko is a real expert of Penchak Silat, the Indonesian unique martial arts, and has been practising since he was 10 years old. In 2005, he won first place at the Silat National Championship and then traveled abroad in several Silat exhibitions in UK, Russia, Laos, Cambodia and France. Awesome!

If you haven't watched Merantau Warrior movie yet I suggest to buy and watch the whole movie. It has been hailed by Harry Knowles at AintItCoolNews.com as “non-stop AWESOME', Adrenaline-charged, jaw-dropping finale, “Merantau’s mix of muscle, melancholy and mighty martial arts impresses” (Impact Magazine), and “BLOODY, BRUTAL, BRILLIANT.” – COMBAT MAGAZINE.

Good news! Coming soon, MERANTAU's Iko uwais to Return in BERANDAL. Some scenes are a lot more violent than Merantau. More brutal, more direct!

Best recommended Silat DVD; Harimau Silat, performed by Iko Uwais in Merantau Warrior
